Fresh Air Intake

Short Explanation

Your engine craves air...its the best thing for it. It also wants the air to be as cool and fresh as possible. The stock intake does a horrible job with this. It sucks in air directly from the engine bay. Hot air is 1) partially "burnt" in combustion and 2) less dense (altogether and in oxygen) than fresh, cool air. Fresh cool air supplies MORE oxygen in the same amount of volume. You won't (necessarily) get more fuel/air mixture, unless you create it in such a way that it allow more volume of air to be induced...such as with a RAM air system. Go to the link below for more details on how you might accomplish setting up a FreshAI (CAI). Do your car a favor and get fresh air into that intake.

You can use the stock intake and get air to it somehow, or you can completely redesign your intake to bring in fresh air. To see how I did it, Click Here. This is quite a process, but relatively easy.

This mod cost me a total of $80 (had to buy not only the parts, but a new 8" K&N Cone Filter to accomodate my design). You will have more oxygen for a better burn and your overall operating temps will go down. You will also have an impressive setup.
